Dressage horse, Rafalca, co-owned by Ann Romney, earned a spot on the United States Olympic dressage team on Saturday by placing third at the United States Equestrian Team Foundation headquarters. Jan Ebeling, Mrs. Romney’s longtime riding tutor whose wife Amy co-owns the horse was the rider in the competition.

The top three riders and their horses compete in the team event in London. The competition takes place at Greenwich Park, London’s oldest Royal Park, which dates to 1433.

Mrs. Romney, as the wife of the presumed Republican presidential nominee, has brought the horse sport of dressage more attention than it has ever received in the United States, in spite of this being dressage's 100th year in the Olympics.

Mrs. Romney owns Rafalca with Mr. Ebeling’s wife, Amy, and a family friend, Beth Meyers.
