Thieves Steal Horse Hair

Thieves are sneaking into stables and scalping horse tales and manes for money, leaving them mutilated and disfigured.

Apparently the motive for the animal cruelty is cash. There's a black market for horse hair, which is used in the bow of violins, jewelry and extensions for show horses.

Victims and police are asking anyone who sees any suspicious advertisements for horse hair on Craigslist or eBay to call your local authorities.
