Caitlin W. of Parker, Colorado, was selected as winner in the random-draw Time to Ride sweepstakes and will enjoy a three-night stay at The Resort at Paws Up for entering the Pledge sweepstakes in September.

Caitlin W. of Parker, Colorado was selected in the random-draw sweepstakes to receive a three-night stay at a luxury dude ranch in Montana, the Resort at Paws Up.

Caitlin has loved and ridden horses since she was young and currently owns a registered Palomino mare, Meradas Delight (aka Brandi), with whom she trains and competes in working cow and stock horse events.

She says, "I always encourage my non-horsey friends to ride or even to go be around horses. I can usually drag them with me and have them step up into the saddle and walk them around and soon they start to enjoy it! Not only am I getting a friend to do what I'm passionate about and now have another hobby to enjoy with them, but that is also helping expand the horse community out here. I love to share my passion and be able to introduce a friend into riding for the first time in their life and hope that they love it as much as I do."

Caitlin heard about the Pledge in Horse & Rider Magazine and was thrilled to learn she won the all-inclusive trip to The Resort at Paws Up.

The Pledge sweepstakes was a new campaign this year aimed at encouraging horse owners and riders to welcome non-riding friends to the horse industry. Nearly 3,300 entrants pledged to introduce a friend to riding, lighting the spark of passion that will carry new enthusiasts into lifelong involvement with horses.

Equestrian celebrities including Lyle Lovett, D. Wayne Lukas, Al Dunning, David O’Connor, Lindy Burch, Lynn Palm, Kerry Kuhn, Dell Hendricks, Tom McCutcheon, Audrey Griffin, Barbra Schulte, Sandy Collier, Tootie Bland, and recent star of ABC’s the Bachelorette, Luke Pell, supported the cause by taking the pledge.
