The inaugural Whole Horse Symposium was a great success. We were honored to have such great speakers who were so generous in sharing their wealth of knowledge, and all working for the good of the horse.
We had a great turnout, and the attendees were fantastic. The speakers were very impressed with their passion, desire to learn and commitment and dedication to responsible and caring stewardship of our domestic horses.
The topics covered Equine Behavior, Joe Camp's journey into natural horse/hoof care, the serious effects of stress on our horses, the amazing benefits of bodywork and rebalancing, myths and species specific requirements of equine nutrition, neuromuscular dentistry and the importance of the TMJ, a vet's perspective on hoofcare, complementary therapies, managing the risks of grass and forage and laminitis, and tying it all together - The Whole Horse approach.
We had awesome sponsors and vendors. Donated prizes and Symposium contributions raised $830 for Return to Freedom Wild Horse Sanctuary.
