Equine extremist and showman Tommie Turvey and William Shatner, actor, share a friendship and a mutual love and respect for horses.  Several years back, Mr. Shatner and his wife, Elizabeth, asked Tommie if he would participate in and support the Hollywood Charity Horse Show, an event Mr. Shatner helped found in 1990 and which has been held annually ever since.  Tommie instantly agreed.  In turn this year, Tommie called his sponsor W. F. Young, Inc., whose Absorbine line of equine health care products he promotes, asking them to contribute to this worthy cause.

All Glory Project, a nonprofit founded by Elizabeth Shatner, a world-renowned horsewoman, promotes and fosters equine-assisted therapies to aid wounded military veterans and their families.

One of the many charities that the Hollywood Charity Horse Show supports is the All Glory Project,  a nonprofit founded by Elizabeth Shatner,  world-renowned horsewoman and judge, which promotes and fosters equine-assisted therapies to aid wounded military veterans and their families.  Animal-assisted therapy is documented to be an effective and powerful treatment for both physical and mental health issues.

For the folks at W. F. Young, who for over 120 years have helped care for America’s horses (and, with their Absorbine Jr. pain relieving liquid also help care for hard-working Americans), this synergy made perfect sense.  As a worldwide leader in equine health care products, W. F. Young, Inc. was pleased to participate in this very worthy cause and made a donation that allowed several wounded veterans to actually attend the Hollywood Charity Horse Show in April of this year at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center.

The weekend event was a tremendous success, including Tommie Turvey’s Saturday evening performance showcasing his incredible talent for extreme riding combined with comedic performance.  All proceeds from the event are donated to charity, including the All Glory Project.  W. F. Young, Inc. and Absorbine were pleased to participate and look forward to working with the Hollywood Charity Horse Show and the All Glory Project.
