In our next Equine Seminar Series presentation, the Cornell Equine Hospital is excited to introduce you to Kelly Knickelbein, VMD, who recently joined our ophthalmology department and will be presenting on assessment of vision and common eye problems in horses.

Kelly Knickelbein, VMD, assistant clinical professor in ophthalmology at the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, will present information on equine vision assessment and ophthalmic problems.

Dr. Kelly Knickelbein is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship in equine medicine and surgery at Rhinebeck Equine and a comparative ophthalmology internship at the University of California-Davis.
Following this, she completed a residency in comparative ophthalmology at UC Davis. Dr. Knickelbein is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists.

Dr. Knickelbein thoroughly enjoys the comparative nature of ophthalmology. Her primary interests include equine ophthalmology, heritable ocular disorders and ophthalmic imaging.
The Cornell Equine Seminar Series is presented by the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine’s Equine Hospital, the New York State 4-H Horse Program and Cornell Cooperative Extension. Held monthly, equine experts present on important equine health and management topics.
