Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced the installation of a Canon CXDI-70C Wireless Digital Radiography (DR) detector at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, a worldwide leader in equine healthcare. This installation represents the first time a CXDI-70C Wireless DR detector has been installed for use in an equine hospital.

Featuring cable-free image acquisition and enhanced device portability, the CXDI-70C Wireless DR System allows veterinary professionals to easily and quickly capture images of large body regions that were previously difficult to capture using traditional imaging technologies.

“The advanced technology coupled with the mobility and ease-of-use made the Canon CXDI-70C Wireless DR system an ideal fit into our facility,” commented Dr. Katherine Garrett, Director of Diagnostic Imaging, Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital.

“It has enabled us to easily and accurately capture the precision images we need on everything from 100 pound foals to 2000 pound draft horses while also minimizing x-ray exposure to the patient and streamlining the overall care process.”

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital is a full-service equine hospital established in 1986 as a referral center for horses requiring specialized medical and surgical care.
