Kentucky Equine Research (KER) an international equine nutrition and exercise physiology research, consultation, and product development company  is pleased to announce an official educational partnership with the United States Pony Clubs Inc. (USPC).

“The future of the horse business is centered on educating the young people of today, and Pony Club is the leader in that endeavor. KER has supported Pony Club in the past, and we are proud to become an official part of that educational process,” said Kimberly S. Brown, Global Marketing Manager of Kentucky Equine Research.

The firm, which works with feed manufacturers on six continents, has been responsible for providing feed and nutritional guidance to horses at the last four Olympic Games, the 2010 World Equestrian Games, and the 2010 Asia Games.

Kevin Price, CEO of The United States Pony Clubs, stated, “The addition of KER’s professional research staff and extensive educational content fits well with Pony Club’s plans to expand and further enrich its current educational standards of proficiency.”

The USPC has approximately 600 clubs and 11,000 members throughout the United States. It is part of an international organization focused on educating children and young adults in horsemanship and leadership skills.

Part of Kentucky Equine Research’s efforts on behalf of USPC will be sharing of educational articles, videos, and other materials, as well as creation of original content and presentations for USPC members. Some of these materials will be offered on the USPC website, in USPC newsletters, and through the KER educational website at Equinews.com. Information will also be available in KER’s equine nutrition and health newsletters and during live presentations at USPC events.

Beyond the multitude of educational opportunities for children and young adults, Pony Club offers the Horsemasters Program for Adult Volunteers. While Horsemasters do not achieve ratings like Pony Club members, they can become qualified in mounted and unmounted focus areas such as stable management, loading, longeing, and riding on the flat or over fences.

Pony Club also will become a KER Champion, which will enable its members to receive a 10% discount on all KER products and supplements. In addition, this program provides a 10% commission to USPC on all products sold using the Champion Code USPC when products are ordered directly from KER or through the KER online store.
