– At Omega Fields®, we strive to make the best supplements for your horse, and our commitment in order to achieve our mission is simple: offer the finest quality, most nutritious products at fair prices and provide outstanding customer service.  That kind of thinking led us to develop Omega GRANDE® so that customers who may already be using our Omega Horseshine® but adding other supplements to it can save money and time.

Omega Horseshine®, of course, is Omega Fields’ premiere, award-winning supplement.  It is made from stabilized whole-ground flaxseed which has a very high percentage of Omega-3 essential fatty acids and the perfect ratio of Omega-3 to Omega-6 for maximum effect against inflammation.  Omega Horseshine® is acclaimed* as the supplement to use for shiny, healthy coats; strong, solid hooves; and top performance for horses in all life stages, and especially for those with IR or Cushing’s Disease.

However, if your horse does not have metabolic disorders, Omega GRANDE® may be the perfect money-saving supplement for you.  It has all the Omega-3 goodness of Omega Horseshine® plus the recommended daily essential vitamins and minerals required for performance horses.

It is the COMPLETE equine supplement, a “five-in-one” product, intended to save money and be more convenient by combining the benefits of Omega-3 (1) with a custom-formulated vitamin/mineral mix (2), Diamond V® yeast probiotic (3), antioxidants (4), and biotin (5) thereby eliminating the need for extra supplementation along with the costs of procurement, measuring, and mixing times.

Omega GRANDE® was custom formulated by Kristina Hiney, Ph.D., University of Wisconsin – River Falls professor of Equine Nutrition & Exercise Physiology, author, lecturer, horse owner, and NRHA competitor and judge.  Dr. Hiney is well regarded for her knowledge of the growth and development needs of horses in all age and work groups.

“In today’s world where horse owners are concerned with feeding excess grain to their horses, Omega GRANDE® provides the COMPLETE answer,” Hiney explained.  “Formulated to provide the essential vitamins and minerals required by performance horses, with the added benefits of stabilized Omega-3 fatty acids, Omega GRANDE® eliminates the need for extra supplementation.”

Each 1½ cup serving of Omega GRANDE® has the optimum ratio of Omega essential fatty acids, containing approximately 27,400 mg Omega-3, 12,400 mg Omega-6, and 14,000 mg Omega-9!  The stabilized rice bran and ground grain sorghum in Omega GRANDE® are two powerful plant-based antioxidants high in ORAC value (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) to help build a strong immune system. And Diamond V® yeast has been proven to be an effective probiotic as an aid for digestion.  Omega GRANDE® does not contain any corn, wheat, or molasses.

When a body has proper functional nutrition, in the right balance, the level of cell membrane integrity improves thus improving the level of optimal health. Omega GRANDE® does that – in one package!  It is readily accepted by horses, is easy to serve, and can also be used as an alternative for psyllium to help prevent sand colic.

For all these reasons, Omega GRANDE® can definitely be a worthwhile switch from Omega Horseshine®.  If your horse does not have IR or Cushing’s disease, if you would like to decrease your overall supplement costs and save time, then consider upgrading to Omega GRANDE®.
