Utah equine dentist, Justin Stark, is scheduling clinics for horse, mule, and donkey dental work to make sure that equine owners avail themselves of proper dental floating, balancing and dental maintenance to ensure dental health for their equines.

Held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Box Elder County Fairgrounds, these clinics have limited spaces, but will work to promote dental health for all equines in the area.

To schedule a horse, mule, or donkey for dental work, the owner must call no later than 7 days before each clinic. Spaces are limited for each clinic. To reserve your spot call Justin Stark at 435-452-1104.

Justin Stark is a certified equine dentist from the Academy of Equine Dentistry, Glenns Ferry, Idaho and his certification is also recognized through the IAED (International Association of Equine Dentistry).

He has been performing equine dentistry since 2004 and he specializes in competition and performance horses. He believes that each horse deserves to be comfortable with the bit and when he eats. Justin is experienced in complex dental problems and has assisted veterinarians with many difficult extractions.

Justin Stark recommends that all horses receive their first float and balance when they are first started in training and then should be checked every six months until they are 5 years old with proper dental maintenance every 12 to 24 months during that time and for the rest of their life.

This allows for proper dental wear and elongates the life of the horse by making his mouth last longer and allows for maximum safety to the rider or handler. "Dental work before training ensures that you will get the optimum result from your training time and dollars!"
